Reviews
Great place to go for something a little different. Got cocktails and dinner with a friend, bought more to take home to family. This is kind of a smaller location, great for small groups or couples who want to hang out a while.
Great Filipino classics. Friendly vibes, cool decor, and an overall clean and pleasant experience. Lots of great menu items. Will need to come back. Suman for dessert was decent.
I'm not sure why but I thought this was a mexican restaurant. But it's not. I think that it's a Filipino fusion place from what the Very helpful and nice bartender told me . Awesome drinks, very awesome even and appetizers were on point. I sat outside, pretty much at my car. The parking lot is right there, BUT its usually packed to capacity with other store clients. Street parking usually is open later in day.
A very cool modern Filipino restaurant on Telegraph in Oakland,CA. It was unexpected that we found this place and came to try them during a weekday. There is private parking but very little spaces and share with other stores so we parked on the street; still you have to be lucky to find parking on the street too as it was full.
The restaurant is not too huge. It had high ceilings and Ivy plants all over. Very green and earthy feel too. A big Filipino flag displayed. We did not make reservations but was able to be seated. It was filled after we got our meals. I believe we met the chef and owner. Very welcoming and friendly. All the staff were, too.
We had their summer special watermelon slushie and I added vodka with it since I can't have it with tequila. It was very good! Also, had their mango lemonade and that was good! We ordered Bistig Silog which was prime rib and it came with garlic rice. Also, ordered Lechon kawali silog. Both were good but thought a little pricy or I guess when modernized, it goes with the price. For dessert, we had their Coconut mango sumon. So good!!
Service was good. Food and drinks were good. Friendly folks. Nice place to hang out or meet up for friends. I think you would be able to arrange a small group of friends here. You should give them a try.
The best daing na bangus among all the Filipino restaurants I’ve ever been to, LA, New York, SFO. Ate it with garlic rice and half with 2 bottles of beer. More caucasians than brown customers. I was worried at first that the food maybe not authentic but they are! Best Filipino bar! Beer or cocktail and pulutan.
Me and my partner had the vegan lumpia, and it was so good. The owner welcomed us with open arms. and we had one cocktail each most definitely want to come back and have a whole meal and bring our friends
This restaurant caters Filipino style dishes and has comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were all friendly and the food was good, but I think could be better. Having lived in various parts of Asia mixed salad greens are almost never a part of any dish, and I felt it was out of place. The garlic rice was pretty good, and I would have liked some fried onions on top of it. The place was popular and had an energetic vibe.
The To Go Experience.
I think every Filipino restaurant has a few staples to be judged by. The rice. The pork. The veggies. I could be wrong but hey what do I know except for eating it all my life. Tried the Lechon Kawali - the crispy pork belly had a great dipping sauce and pickled onions. Pork - missing the crispy - maybe it was because it’s a to-go order: it started crispy then got soggy? No - the skin just wasn’t crisped up and bouncy / chewy instead - I’d skip this for delivery and try table-side instead. I tried the pancit - it was good! A little oily for my liking - could be an off night - will have to try again. The garlic fried rice - it was just right, not oily, not clumpy and freckled with browned garlic. I have to try this place again - no doubt an in dining experience is where it’s at.
